Tough as Hell, But Hollywood at Heart.
Sigourney made her mark as the queen of sci-fi grit. Ellen Ripley could shoot straight, think fast, and survive when no one else could. But outside the screen, Weaver stayed deep in the Ivy League-Hollywood ecosystem. She’s smart, stylish, and respected—but she’s more urban elite than backwoods grit.
We give her credit for playing strong without turning bitter, but she doesn’t carry the heartland in her bones.
Verdict: Not SphstRdnck.
Strong on screen, but too steeped in the system.
