Sweetheart of the Spotlight, Not of the Soil.
Marilyn was magnetic, no doubt—America’s sweetheart with a wounded heart. She came from nothing, fought for everything, and used her image like a weapon. But she also became a product of Hollywood—owned by the cameras, steered by men, and disconnected from anything resembling a grounded life.
There’s empathy in her story, but little to admire when it comes to values like grit, humility, or loyalty to roots. She longed for something real but never found it.
Verdict: Not SphstRDnck.
Heartfelt, but too tangled in the tinsel.
