Rubio burst onto the scene as the son of immigrants with a bootstraps tale and a silver tongue. Early on, he talked a big game about liberty, small government, and faith in the American spirit. But talk is cheap. Over the years, his spine showed more give than grit, especially when tough decisions risked rubbing the D.C. elite the wrong way.
That said — under Trump’s leadership, something shifted. As Secretary of State, Rubio started walking a firmer line against globalist overreach, CCP influence, and elite manipulation. He wasn’t leading the charge, but he wasn’t sabotaging it either — which, these days, counts for something.
He may never be the lion in the fight, but with a strong alpha calling the shots, he’s proven to be a useful soldier.
