Caddyshack

The Holy Gospel of the Grounds Crew.

Forget golf. Caddyshack was about class warfare with a 9-iron. You had the smug country club elite clinging to their tee times and tax shelters — then you had the grounds crew, the caddies, the weirdos, the working-class warriors grinding out a living on someone else’s green.

Carl the greenskeeper wasn’t just fighting a gopher — he was the metaphor for every overlooked, underpaid, underestimated American finally losing it. And he didn’t just kill the gopher — he blew the whole damn thing sky-high.

The movie reminded us that it’s not polish that matters — it’s persistence. Not manners, but moxie.

Verdict: Pure SphstRDnck. It made fun of the elite while lifting up the underdog. Mayhem never looked so righteous.
