John Dillinger

The Folk Hero Bank Robber.

John Dillinger strutted through the Great Depression like an outlaw rock star. He robbed banks with style, escaped jail like Houdini, and had crowds cheering him on as he outfoxed the law. But charm don’t equal character.

Dillinger made a name for himself by stealing from the system, but he didn’t give back. He wasn’t trying to change anything—just get his own. That’s not the kind of rebel we salute.

Verdict: Not SphstRDnck.
Swagger without substance—too slick, not enough soul.
